About me
Paul leads sales and business development in North America for ESS Inc, the Oregon Manufacturer of the 10+ hour daily iron flow battery. He has been instrumental in new customer acquisitions for ESS since joining in 2021. In clean energy and energy conservation for most of his career, Paul began as a Program Manager for Honeywell Utility Solutions leading demand side management programs for utilities. As a customer focused leader, Paul helped Pacific Gas and Electric and Honeywell win a State of California “Flex your Power Award” in 2008 for its innovative hotel / motel energy conservation program. He also helped transform Honeywell’s utility business, designing and winning a DOE ARRA grant for automated demand response deployment for commercial buildings. Paul has provided sales leadership for several cleantech companies, including leading sales integration and go to market strategy for Itron’s Distributed Energy Management group, focusing on smart grid solutions to help utilities implement VPP’s and Non-Wires alternatives with Itron technology.
Paul has a Bachelor of Arts from University of California at Santa Barbara. Paul lives in Portland, Oregon, and has 2 kids and dog. He volunteers at the Oregon Humane Society.
