Dever Haffner-Ratliffe (previously Dever Kuni) established Solar Quote Check in 2023.
Dever brings 15 years of experience in renewable energy and related sectors, including state regulatory bodies, utilities, and energy grants to help our clients. Prior to founding Solar Quote Check, Dever co-founded the Washington Solar Energy Industry Association and served on its Board of Directors as Legislative and Policy Chair, worked for several state agencies, and helped establish many solar programs and policies, including solar-specific consumer protection legislation. She kept seeing and hearing about misinformation and unethical sales practices, and about the awful financial positions that customers were left in. Dever established Solar Quote Check to protect consumers. Solar Quote Check can help you navigate solar, from reviewing quotes to ensure energy rates are real and accurate to helping report scams and other illegal sales practices.
In addition to helping clients navigate solar, Dever is also available for speaking engagements, trainings, media inquiries, or whatever other situation you might need an unbiased solar expert. Throughout her career, Dever has delivered solar-specific presentations on consumer protection, land assessment for large-scale projects, and solar's role in the energy grid. Alongside managing Solar Quote Check, Dever works in government relations for a public utility district and participates on the board of Solar Washington, a non-profit organization to advance solar energy in Washington State.
Dever holds a master's degree in business administration from the University of Washington Foster School of Business and a bachelor's degree from The Evergreen State College.
